Size Guide
Sarah Flint shoes are made in Italy and follow European sizing. If you already know your European size, that is always the best place to start, as our sizing is consistent with other European-sized brands.
If you are not sure of your European size, you can use the chart below to find your best fit:
| US | 4 | 4.5 | 5 | 5.5 | 6 | 6.5 | 7 | 7.5 | 8 | 8-8.5 | 8.5 | 9 | 9-9.5 | 9.5 | 10 | 10.5 | 11 | 11.5-12 | 12.5-13 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| IT/EU | 34 | 34.5 | 35 | 35.5 | 36 | 36.5 | 37 | 37.5 | 38 | 38.5 | 39 | 39.5 | 40 | 40.5 | 41 | 41.5 | 42 | 42.5 | 43 |
This chart is a general recommendation of how our shoes fit, but we have provided style-specific fit recommendations on every individual product page on SarahFlint.com. Specific fit recommendations are listed under “Fit Notes.” All shoes are made on a medium-width last.
We are happy to send measurements for our styles as well. We recommend measuring from your heel to the longest tip of your toe. Measurements should be taken in centimeters to ensure accuracy. Additional context that helps us make a recommendation is what size you wear in the brand you currently wear most frequently.
Common mistakes with sizing when ordering for the first time
Please note that sizing conversions can be confusing. U.S. and European sizes run parallel from 34 to 38, but above a 38 the conversions are no longer exact, so it’s important to refer to the chart rather than assuming your usual conversion. If you share the brands you wear most often and the size you take in them, that always helps us give the most accurate recommendation.
How to tell your shoes are the right size once received
Leather will stretch slightly in width but not in length, so the front should feel comfortably snug at first. With regular wear, the leather will soften and mold to your foot. If the length feels right and the front is a bit tight, we suggest wearing them a few times to let the leather relax naturally. If they still feel too tight, stretching by a cobbler can help.
Your heel should feel secure with no slipping or gap when you walk. This is the clearest sign the length is correct and ensures the arch support sits in the right place while preventing friction and blisters.
Narrow/Wide Widths
At this time, we do not have styles that come in narrow or wide widths. All Sarah Flint shoes are made on a medium-width last.
Belt Measurements
We recommend measuring your waist and selecting the belt that is closest in size. If you are between sizes, size up.
