The new Sarah Flint styles were inspired by the designer's grandmother.
Sarah Flint, the shoe designer behind some of Meghan Markle's favorite styles, is expanding her business. Earlier this month, she launched her first accessory: scarves. The 100% silk designs feature hand-rolled edges and are currently available in two perfect-for-spring colorways (Chestnut and Flora Blue), and two sizes (45 cm x 45 cm and 90 cm x 90 cm).
"My grandmother had the most beautiful collection of silk scarves that served as the inspiration behind our first accessory. She has always been my style icon," Flint says of the new collection. "She was an artist living in Paris for most of my childhood, and I love wearing her vintage pieces as a reminder of the importance of not buying a lot of things, but investing in a few really high-quality pieces that you love instead."
The scarves are handcrafted in Italy, and for the next few days, Flint is doing her part to help in the COVID-19 relief efforts. Through March 24, Flint is donating 25% of proceeds from any purchase to Lions Club International, a social welfare organization which helps support hospitals in Vigevano, Italy, where many Sarah Flint shoes are produced.
