When you have a shoe brand that's loved by royalty, it makes sense to create footwear inspired by a country estate. That's precisely what Sarah Flint did with her Fall/Winter 2020 collection that features design elements from the famous Newby Hall Estate in Yorkshire, England.
The Sylvia Flat features decorative trim inspired by the trim that runs along the canopy bed of the south bedroom in Newby Hall. It also gets its name from a young woman who lived at the estate named Sylvia. The elegant pointed toe flat boasts laser-cut trim detail, binding in calf with painted edges, and is available in black suede, taupe suede, or rust grosgrain.
Meanwhile, the Perfect Dress Bootie was inspired by the curvature seen in Chip + Dale chairs all over the Newby Hall Estate. It's available in black suede, taupe suede, burgundy suede, and 60 mm and 90 mm heel heights.
The Perfect Pump and the Natalie Flat were also inspired by the estate that was once reserved as an evacuation location for the royal family during World War II. Flint used the rich color palettes and lush fabrics like super-soft velvets and suedes to design these and serve as the overall creative drive for this season's collection.
To make this season's collection even more unique, the brand collaborated with renowned interior trim company Samuel & Sons to create a limited-edition footwear capsule featuring Palais cord piping and Annecy Gimp toe caps.
"I am constantly inspired by interior design and have always admired the vast selection and exceptional craftsmanship that is signature to the Samuel & Sons brand," says Founder and Creative Director Sarah Flint in a statement. "Because of our mutual love of design and dedication to detail, the partnership with Samuel & Sons was a natural fit. I am so excited to share this beautiful collection with our customers!"

The Duchess of Sussex isn't the only fan of the brand. Several A-listers like Lady Gaga and Blake Lively have been seen out and about donning the classic, yet modern footwear.
